A place where you don’t have to pretend everything is okay
I’m Laurent, a counsellor based in North Wales.
I know that contacting a counsellor isn’t necessarily easy.
You may have spent years dealing with things yourself.
You may not think of yourself as someone who needs counselling.
Perhaps something has happened recently.
Perhaps things have been building for years.
Or perhaps you simply know that something isn’t right.
Whatever has brought you here, you don’t need to explain everything perfectly.
We can start wherever you are.
My approach
INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
My role isn’t to tell you how to live your life.
I’m not here to judge you or give you a list of things you should be doing.
Counselling provides a confidential space where you can speak honestly, explore what’s happening and begin to understand things differently.
I’ll listen, ask questions and work alongside you.
Areas I’m particularly interested in
Men’s mental health
Understanding some of the barriers that can make it difficult for men to seek help.
Running & mental health
The relationship between running, identity, performance, injury and wellbeing.
Rural mental health
The particular challenges that can affect mental health and access to support in rural communities.
My professional background
Qualifications: Masters in counselling, coaching diploma
Professional registration: BACP
Experience: practising since 2022
Additional training: men’s mental health, couples counselling, DDP level 2
What you can expect from me
Professionalism.
Confidentiality.
Respect.
Honesty.
And a space where you don’t have to pretend that everything is okay.
Thinking about getting in touch?
You don’t need to know whether counselling is definitely right for you.
We can start with a conversation.
